Our Company Holiday Calendar - When Rees Harps will be on the road or taking a holiday.
Lever harps are often also called Irish harps or Celtic harps. We are also the makers of Harpsicle® Harps. Rees has been building harps since 1972. Our harps are hand crafted in Rising Sun, Indiana, United States.
During the COVID-19 crisis our schedule will not be quite as stable as normal. There are only a few of us and we are trying to stay healthy. We are making an effort to stay home on Saturdays in order to be rested for our unusually grueling week of work. We appreciate your understanding.
Note: as you look at the dates of our holidays, you will notice that the breaks seem unusually long. This is because our production staff works Monday to Friday and our customer support folks work Tuesday to Saturday. It makes our holiday schedule look strange from the outside but it works for us because it means we are available to you on Saturdays when many of you have time to reach out or visit.
Rees Harps Inc. is officially closed between Christmas and New Year's but some staff may be in during this time. If you are planning to visit Rising Sun, please check to be sure someone will be there to make you welcome.
There may be some office staff in on Saturday, 24 November but this is an optional day off so if you are intending to come to Rising Sun, please check in advance. We would hate to miss you!
Rees Harps is closed for the entire Thanksgiving holiday weekend so that our employees may celebrate with their families (and shop.)
William and Pamela (and, hopefully, Garen and Melissa) are going to the Buskerfest in Toronto. While there they will take time out of frolicking to give harp workshops, locally, at Long & McQuade.
Garen and Melissa (and/or Ashley) will be at the Somerset Folk Harp Festival in Parsippany, NJ.
Melissa and Garen will be at Summer NAMM in Nashville, TN. NAMM is not open to the public but if you are one of our customers and would like passes, contact us and we will see what we can do. Passes are limited and are on a first-come-first-served basis.
A national holiday in the US. We give our employees a bit of extra time so that they may celebrate with their families.
