Rees Double Harps
Rees builds a double harp version of most of our Rees Concert Line Harps. These doubles are the same size as their single course counterparts though they weigh more because of the additional hardware (pins, levers, strings etcetera). They can also do a great deal more. Because there are two parallel courses of strings each hand (treble and bass) have access to all of the octaves and the ability to play directly across from one another within the same octave. This allows for all kinds of new and interesting arrangements for even the most common compositions. Rees Double Concert Line Harps all now come with full sharping on both sides so players can play in alternate tunings or add accidentals to one side and not the other alleviating the need to lever in the middle of a piece. Especially accomplished double harp players can even play chromatically. Perhaps the most fun aspect of playing a double harp are the echo and tremolo effects made possible by doubled strings. The base price for a Rees Double Harp depends upon the model. We require 25% of your initial order at the time the order is placed. Should you wish to add ornamentation to your harp, we have both our exceptional standard ornamentation or, if you a ready for something truly extraordinary, our custom ornamentation. Many people request a clip of the harp being played. We are happy to provide one but with this basic understanding: any harp will only sound as good as the speakers and the bass and treble pre-sets of your computer. In other words, in many ways our harp will sound like your computer. Additionally, you have no way to compare one harp to another via Mp3 because you have no control over the recording conditions and variables.

The Rees Double Morgan Meghan Concert Line Harp is a little big harp. This is a lap harp which competes favorably with many floor harps with a bold voice full of color. Like all Rees Concert Line Harps the voice of the Double Morgan Meghan is balanced and, unusual for a lap harp, the bass is open and deep. The Double Morgan Meghan Harp comes with full Rees sharping levers and harp pins. Depending upon the wood selected the Double Morgan Meghan weighs about 11.5 pounds (5.21 kg). The Double Morgan Meghan is 34 inches (86.4 cm) tall at the point. Should you wish to add ornamentation to your harp, we have both our exceptional standard ornamentation or, if you a ready for something truly extraordinary, our custom ornamentation. The Rees Double Shaylee Meadows Concert Line Harp has an extraordinarily large and balanced voice for its size. This harp is a superb performance instrument for small venues, harp therapy and for those who love to play for their own enjoyment.

The Rees Double Mariposa Concert Line Harp has the light weight and responsiveness prized by so many modern harpers. Luckily, the Double Mariposa does this without sacrificing any of the big voice and comprehensive dynamic range for which Rees harps are known. The Double Mariposa has a range of A to C and a string feel that is light but not so light it hides or distorts the voice. The Double Mariposa Harp comes with full Rees sharping levers and a narrow 3.5 inch (8.89 cm) shoulder that allows for complete freedom of movement. The Mariposa is 50 inches (127 cm) tall at the point and, depending upon the wood selected, weighs between 23 and 25 pounds.
